The annual National Folk Festival is set to launch soon and is bigger than ever this year.
On Thursday 15th March, ACT Deputy Chief Minister Andrew Barr is launching the 2012 National Folk Festival in Garema Place from 12.30pm. Managing Director of the National Folk Festival, Sebastian Flynn and local bands including Pocket Fox, circus performers and a flash mob choir will also be there.
This year, the 46th National Folk Festival will be held from 5th-9th April (Easter long weekend) at EPIC. More than 50,000 fans of folk music from around Australia and all around the world will participate in this year’s National Folk Festival.
This year there will be a range of more than 20 unique indoor venues, offering something for everyone. Ticket prices vary.
