Your bub is crying, there’s no place to park your pram and all you want to do is get out of the house for a nice meal, or just a coffee with another adult. Finding a good place that supports mums and bubs and also has decent food can be challenging. Although going to a pub may not be your number one choice for an outing with bub, Edgar’s Inn at Ainslie has some fantastic food options, a great outdoor space and a family-friendly atmosphere during the day and earlier hours of the night.

Reserve yourself a space of the deck, rent a blanket and depending of the age of your kids, forage through their tub of kids toys while you enjoy one of the culinary delights on the menu.
The relaxed vibe of Chifley’s local café and bar is perfect for mums and bubs. Sit down on a couch with a cup of coffee and a freshly-baked sweet teat while you rock your little one to sleep.
Pialligo has often been suggested as the ‘go-to’ for families of all ages. In particular, Tulips Cafe is complete with an enclosed playground, colouring pencils, print outs and tables and chairs fit for toddlers. With a great menu, garden setting and a resident peacock that often pops in to say hello, this place is absolutely brilliant for kids and parents alike.
Sprout Café at the National Arboretum
For a scenic getaway that is also kid-friendly, a trip up to Spout Café at the National Arboretum is a must do. With a number of delicious cakes, sandwiches, great coffee and a family picnic option, sit back and watch the kids go wild over the famous Pod Playground.
Recently renovated with local charm, Little Oink is a cute escape for mums and bubs alike. With an eclectic range of breakfast, brunch and lunch delights as well as some great milkshakes for the kids, whether you’re a local or not, it’s definitely worth the trip!
