Need an upgrade from your regular two-minute noodles? Or maybe you’re looking to explore more Asian dishes. In any case, here are the top 7 ramen spots in Canberra. You’d be forgiven for thinking Braddon is a mini Japan town as three of these are on Lonsdale street!

1. White Chaco

10/27 Lonsdale St, Braddon ACT 2612

A new addition to the already thriving Braddon dining scene, White Chaco offers an Asian fusion menu, drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Taiwanese dishes. We recommend the Pork Ramen, with a side of their signature soup dumplings.

2. Umami

Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets, Shop 5, 36 Mildura St, Fyshwick ACT 2609

Head Chef Dean Han, whose resume includes Canberra greats such as Chairman and Yip and Tipsy Bull, has set up his own kitchen in the new Niche Markets at the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets. With access to some of the freshest fish and produce, this might be the freshest ramen in Canberra!

3. Lazy Su

1/9 Lonsdale St, Braddon ACT 2612

Everyone knows about Lazy Su (and their adorable lunch spot Baby Su). What you might not know is that in addition to serving up killer cocktails and delicious bao-gers, they also do a ridiculously good ramen. We recommend either the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Ramenor the Fried Chicken Ramen.

5. Ka sushi ramen

3/121 Marcus Clarke St, Canberra ACT 2601

Tucked underneath EY Canberra, the lovely staff at Ka sushi are serving up authentic ramen in a traditional setting. Long wooden benches give the place a communal feel making it a great place to take a group of friends.

6. Tasuke

122 Alinga St, Canberra ACT 2601

The saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” has never been more relevant than when looking at Tasuke. This unassuming little shopfront outside the Civic bus interchange might not look like much, but step inside and you’ll be transported to another world. We recommend a spot at the window, so you can cosy up with your hot ramen as you watch the buses go past.

7. Ramentic

134/24 Lonsdale St, Braddon ACT 2612

Another Braddon gem, Ramentic is the perfect place to escape the Canberra chill and cosy up for either a delicious lunch or dinner. Rich and flavourful pork bone broth meats melt in the mouth pork, best enjoyed with their fluffy pork buns!
