Sogni D’oro, Belconnen’s new signature restaurant

Establishing a fine dining restaurant in Belconnen was never going to be an easy task for the owners of the new Sogni D’oro.

Located on the ground floor of the Waterside apartments in Belconnen, the restaurant with its Italian inspired menu has already provided another level of dining for the residents of the area.

Although the aim for the restaurant is service with an emphasis on fine dining, the lunchtime menu is a little more casual with an atmosphere that does not intimidate the customers.

Olims makes triple win at AHA Awards

The iconic Olims Hotel which has been entertaining Canberrans for over 80 years, made a triple win at the Australian Hotels Association awards held last month.

AHA General Manager Steven Fanner offered congratulations to all winners, but made particular note of Olims, being one of two most awarded venues.

“Olims has shown the value of refurbishing an existing venue by taking out not only the Best Redeveloped Venue award but also the Best Outdoor Entertainment Area and Best Sporting & Gaming Entertainment,” he said.

Located in the New Acton Pavilion behind the Diamant Hotel, the Kells’ restaurant combines top cuisine in a laid back atmosphere.

“Good food in a casual environment is the best way to put it,” said older brother Spencer Kells.
