Black Opal Glimmers

The AAMI Black Opal Stakes was the centre of action as thousands of well dressed Canberrans filled a sunny Thoroughbred Park last Sunday, March 8.

Fashions on the Field caused a stir, with the stakes as high as the heels. Amongst the sea of great prizes, the ‘Classic Ladies Race wear’ trip for 2 to Paris was highly sought after.

This year’s Fashions on the Field saw a record number of 112 individuals take to the stage, with entrants from as far as Queensland and Western Australia.

Idol to join Chris Isaak on stage

Australian Idol finalist Mark Spano has won the eagerly-sought after spot as special guest support artist on the Chris Isaak Australian tour.

The legendary Californian singer/songwriter met Mark when he was the Guest Mentor on an episode of Australian Idol late last year during a promotional visit to Australia.
