Coonawarra is well known for producing world class red wines, especially Cabernet Sauvignon, and the area’s secret lies in a magical marriage of rich red terra rossa soil, limestone, pure underground water and a long cool ripening season for the grapes.

Local designer Graciela Topal is fascinated by buttons and beads.
Her range, Trade With Grace, is a line of unique and playful jewellery made from buttons and beads, matching colours, textures and styles in unusual ways to create unique, eye-catching pieces.
“They are versatile, playful and fun to work with,” says Topal of her medium of choice.
“They are available in so many different shapes, sizes and colours and it’s possible to obtain a range of different effects just by playing around with them. And most importantly, they look great on anything.”

It’s been a busy year for Adalita, her debut solo album was released in March, a successful national tour followed and she played for the Dalai Lama in June. She returned to a packed Transit Bar last Thursday as part of a handful of additional shows, supported by Laura Imbruglia.
Laura Imbruglia kicked off the night at around 9pm. Her solo performance complimented Adalita’s, playing a set of enjoyable songs, stripped down to just vocals and a guitar.
