Symphony in the Park

Catch musical theatre favourites, Rachael Beck and Ian Stenlake join the Canberra Symphony Orchestra (CSO) performing Hollywood Hits at the free Symphony in the Park on Sunday night 11th March at Stage 88, Commonwealth Park.

Hits from Singing’ in the Rain, the Wizard of Oz, Moulin Rouge, Grease, Cabaret, Fame and Breakfast at Tiffany’s will be played and will be lead by acclaimed conductor, Timothy Sexton.

Pack a picnic and bring a picnic rug or chair and you will also be able to purchase food and drink there. The performance starts at 7pm and finishes at 9.30pm.

Kulture Break’s 10th Anniversary

Canberra youth outreach non-profit charitable organisation, Kulture Break will celebrate their 10-year anniversary from Monday 25th June to Saturday 7th July 2012.

During the two week festival, dance performances, workshops and a gala event will be featured, funded by a $12,000 grant from the ACT Government.

A venue with wings

Boasting some of the best wine available by the glass to be found in Canberra, the newly opened Gryphons at the Griffith shops has begun a mighty venture.

Armed with an extensive wine list and gourmet pub food, Gryphons had their opening night on Thursday 23rd February and it went off with a bang. Owner Andrew Kenny was more than happy with the turn out, with more than 300 people showing up to show their support and check out the new bar and café.

"The response we have had has been absolutely fantastic" says Kenny.
