Dressing For The ‘Code’

Have you ever walked into an event or wedding and asked yourself the question. Did I get the dress code wrong? I know I have and quite frankly it can be a little embarrassing. I went to a wedding once and the dress code was FORMAL. Boy, did I feel as though I was the only one that got the memo.

As a stylist, I believe that dressing for the code, is very important. Not only does it help you decide what to wear but it indicates, an expectation that invitee is setting on their guest. They are basically telling you what not to wear.

How to Be a Real Canberran this Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend

While March seems to be filled with public holidays, April and May have a severe lack of them. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday, celebrated this year on 8 June, is warmly welcomed break to the routine – especially now that autumn has turned to winter.

Since fireworks are now banned (and smuggling them in isn’t advisable) you might cbe tempted to run away for the weekend. Don’t do that – there’s plenty to see and do around town!
