Outside of our conventional food courts, it’s a rarity in Canberra to walk into a modern dining precinct with every cuisine available at your fingertips. But that’s exactly what Ainslie Football & Social Club has provided with its stunning stage two refurbishments.
Stage one comprised of a welcoming new reception area and the cosy Fireside Lounge & Bar, and the anticipated stage two flung its doors open this week – seeing the venue transform into a bustling hub, while still giving a nod to its history of fostering Australian football.
“The dining precinct is about offering variety. It’s really important for our guests to feel like they can have a different experience every time they come here,” Ainslie Group Marketing Coordinator Alycia Kunze says.
“Members can come here to enjoy a coffee and feel like they are in a café, have a nice family dinner and feel like they are in a five-star restaurant (without the expensive price tag), or simply sit in a new area of the precinct and try a new cuisine or dish each time they visit from the extensive menu.”
As well as fresh and exciting menu options, the precinct will still offer the club favourites that everyone knows and loves, including the classic schnitty and the Chef’s Selection exclusive limited menu, which allows its chefs to showcase their creative flair.
“We’ll also have feature items, like our steak menu, where the kitchen is dedicated to using free-range beef supplied locally from Canberra’s best local butcher, The Butcher Shop. They’ll also be a specialised range of fusion cuisine and a gourmet pizza selection,” Alycia says.
The contemporary, rustic theme from stage one continues through to the new area, but Alycia explains that it has a bit more of a timeless style and approach – from the light fittings and features to the furniture and spaces.
To coincide with the launch of the ‘new Ainslie’, the club is very excited to be unveiling a new staff uniform, which has been chosen to reflect this theme.
“Stage one was exciting but there’s a different anticipation to this dining precinct because it’s finally bringing it all together,” she says.
“It’s going to complete and enhance the other side of the club. It’s the missing piece of the puzzle.”
Ainslie Football & Social Club prides itself on that warm and happy feeling you get from the moment you walk in to the end of your experience. It’s this motive that has encouraged the club to refurbish and continuously evolve for the community.
